Open the Cellular Components panel by pressing the
button in the main console.

The tabular data represents an unfolded view of the main cloud quadrangular cells. Each column represents quadrangular cells between two profiles of the main point-cloud. Type the Block or Cell name you wish to place within the quadrangular cell geometry. Pressing the
button highlight the unfolded matrix range within the tabular view.
Create the components geometry in Rhino or MicroStation. In MicroStation create cells and load the active library containing your components.
In Rhino, create the component entity and give it a unique name (make sure the name is assigned to a single entity). If the component consists of more than one entity define it as a Block and assign the name to the block entity (Using the entity properties dialog ‘F3′).
The entities should be created on the TOP construction plane.

Pressing the Place Cells button initiates the components population according to the parameters and toggles settings.
Population toggles:
Normal: place each component aligned on the corresponding quadrangular cell of the main point-cloud geometry.
Stretch U: Scale the assigned component bounding box to fit the U-direction of the target quadrangular cell. When the toggle is switched of, the value assigned in the ‘Scale X’ parameter in the cellular components panel is used as a scaling factor.
Stretch V: Scale the assigned component bounding box to fit the V-direction of the target quadrangular cell. When the toggle is switched of, the value assigned in the ‘Scale Y’ parameter in the cellular components panel is used as a scaling factor.

Z-Scale: Apply Z-scale values to each component according to the ‘Z scale’ sheet.
Use the active sheet selector to switch between the data sheets.
Angle Map: Apply rotation angle to each component according to the ‘Ang’ data sheet.
B.Box Object: Use the bounding box of a pre-defined entity as the reference for populating the components. The bounding box object name is defined in the B-Box Name field. If the toggle is not checked, each component is using its own bounding box as a reference for the population algorithm.
Population Parameters:

B-Box Name: The entity name that is used as a predefined bounding box.
Angle Factor: A predefined rotation angle about the insertion point of the component.
X-scale: a fixed scaling factor for the population algorithms relative to the original bounding-box X-size.
Y-scale: a fixed scaling factor for the population algorithms relative to the original bounding-box Y-size.
Z-scale: a fixed scaling factor for the population algorithms relative to the original bounding-box Z-size. Negative values will perform the scaling function in the opposite direction.

We enter a Z Scale matrix data and use the Z-Scale toggle:
