We started with a simple cubic geometri created in SketchUp and exported the faces we wish to develop in GEM to OBJ format.

The geometry is loaded into GEM, and using the smoothing subdivision we create the organic shell geometry.

A Chimney component created in SketchUP (using the FollowMe tool) is loaded.

We define an offset in GEM (flipping some face normals allow the offset to go in and out of the shell geometry) and the compoentns are populated.

and loaded back into SketchUP, replacing the original faces we exported.

We use the Smoothing tool in sketchup to cleanup the mesh geometry and the result can be rendered.
