Wild Folds: Generative Surfaces on a Simple Plane
On our ongoing exploration, we came across a simple way for folding surfaces using a single component. The offset mesh is deformed using target points and Echo to Edge function.
We used a simple curved surface as a component:
We sub-divided a simple plane, and used a normal offset:
Using EchoToEdge by target points (Var mode) - the echo was applied to an alternated face map:
