2058 Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York is the project that reorganizes the relationship of Urban Mixed-Use between live, play, and work. In the initial phase of the project, Mathematica Scripting was used as a scripting tool to create a variety of topological network to rethink the different possibilities of social network.
As the initial condition of the project, the scripting technique resulted to generate 25 different geometric outputs, which evolved from same topology.
Assemblages of 25 different units are created as local conditions, which are containments of live, play, and work. These local conditions interact with each other and mutate the relationship, depending on given parameters. The interactions of local condition evolve to constantly reorganize the global organization as Emergent behavior.
From the environmental point of view, the “Live, Play and Work” units have ability to reduce Heat Island Effect. The structure system of unit has collected water network and the unit skin has capability to aggregate green surface.
To explore the green surface skin, Paracloud GEM was used to experiment several skin scheme.

I guess that the scripting exercise is done. Let me try to attempt a (positive) critique from History. It’s interesting to note that the categories for defining the segregation of space are still very modern (life, work, dwelling, play). In this sense, the exercise has not reached the strategy of zoning beyond and the mesh has not been verified at the level of the activities as at the level of the formal. That is, activities had not meshed and the potential of this type of meshing has not yet become. Maybe that was not the purpose of the exercise but what we must try to do is to attain a wholistic discourse for the architectural of the scripting. Anyway, very interesting and motivating.
Regards.
Another great work of yours. Thanks for posting.
WOW…
very interesting organic work!
