Profiler

The Profiler plug-in is a tool for re-sampling the geometry into an ordered grid.

When importing surfaces from CAD software the mesh geometry can appear as a non-ordered mesh.

We select profile points, in the an ordered fashion (bottom - up), and use the profiler plugin. The result is an ordered mesh

1. From the Plugins Menu choose Profiler -> by Targets

2. Enter Number of Profiles to generate (Leave empty if you wish to generate the whole mesh)

3. Prompt for Closed Profile or Closed Surface. (in this example we choose 'No' for both to keep an open profile and open surface)
