Population Map

Population Map


Highlights mesh faces and allows selecting sperate faces for population pattern of various components using the Ctrl+click.

Various colors represent various components.


Steps


1. Select a blank colored cell from the components pallet.


2. Load a component from the mesh status toolbar or press the load button from the components settings console.


3. To load another component select another colored cell and press the load button from the component settings console.                                      


4. Press the Select Face button from the Face Map toolbar and use the Ctrl+click to select faces or use the Assign by rule method (optional).



Options




In this example Red color = X mesh High Res. component, Yellow color = sphere component.

These components are located in the GEM installation folder: ParaCloud GEM / Example Files / Components


     Red Color = X mesh high Res.                  Yellow color = Sphere component

Toggle the Use Face Map option from the Face selection toolbar. Select faces for subdividing. From the Mesh Tools console select subdivision offset. 



Note : Subdivision operation cancels existing offset.

Note: First, press the Use face map button to toggle the option both in the Mesh Tools console and in the component Setting console. Toggling the Use Face Map option allows subdividing or populating the selected faces only.
