Populate to File


Output the populated mesh as dxf, obj or VRML file. The output file can be import into any CAD software supporting these formats.


Steps


1. Load a Mesh.


2. Load a component.


3. Populate the mesh.


4. from the File menu select the 'Populate to file' option.


5. Type the output file name in the windows dialog box.



Options




For large output meshes you may need to split the populated mesh to several output files.

Type 'split' in the command line and set the number of output files.



Following that, when selecting the obj output a dialog will appear to confirm splitting the populated mesh.





When Exporting an unfolded Layout the output is generated together with an additional file containing the marker layers.


Output files: GEM Model.dxf , GEM Model_Markers.dxf (Insert them in place)


The DXF Markers file includes the following layers:


Markers:  3D Assembly Markers

Face_Region: The container face geometry (from the Main Mesh)

Face_Text: the face number

Marker_Text: Adjacent face numbers.
