General obj Guidelines:

GEM can open obj files in ASCII format. The obj files should contain faces with up to 4 vertices (Quads and Triangles only).

If an invalid file is loaded a message box will appear and the file should be subdivided or triangulated to allow loading.

Note: The current version was tested with obj files from: SketchUp Pro, Rhino, Maya, 3DS Max, Modo, Cinema 4D, TopMod, Moment of Inspiration, K3DSurf. 

Contact our support team if you use  a different software and run into difficulties preparing obj files for GEM, and require assistance.
